I need feminism because… I’m sick of seeing your eyes roll when I tell you I’m angry. Belittling my voice doesn’t stop me from speaking.
I need feminism because boys think it’s okay to touch my ass and boobs even when I’ve clearly said NO.
Even when I don’t say anything, it doesn’t give ANYONE a right to touch me wherever they desire. Yes means yes, and if they don’t say yes then don’t try it.
I need feminism because I still feel ashamed or self-concious when I don’t pluck/shave/wax.
My body hair is natural, why should I be perceived as ‘disgusting’ or ‘freakish’ when I don’t get rid of it?
I need feminism because I shouldn’t have felt embarrassed or ashamed that my boyfriend was abusing me
AND THEY WERE PERFECT PARENTS TOO!
They were fiercely proud of their children’s accomplishments.
They played together as a family.
They went to school plays, parent/teacher interviews, and helped with school work.
They co-parented, Gomez was just as active in raising their children as Morticia was.
When their children wanted something that they disapproved of, they were disappointed but relented because it would make them happy.
Plus, all TV married couples kind of hate each other and argue 90% of the time for the sake of comedy, but these two have always seemed to be forever and always in love, which is kind of sweet.
And if that’s only possible because they’re weirdos, what does that say about us?
